Registration Open for 2022 Naramata Mug and Bruno Lieppe

The 2022 Naramata Mug will be run July 23-24 alongside the Summerland YC Bruno Lieppe Cup.

This is a handicap event open to all monohull and multihull dinghies under 20 foot with a Portsmouth Handicap rating. Classes with more than five starters may be allocated their own start.

The Bruno Lieppe Cup will be a single race run on Saturday, July 23rd with a 11:00 warning signal and is open to any keelboat with a PHRF rating.

Entries will be accepted until 18:00hrs on July 22, 2022, but we request you register for racing and meal tickets by July 15 to facilitate planning.

REFUND POLICY

If an entrant voluntarily withdraws, the following refund rates will apply:
75% before July 15, 6pm
50% before July 21, 6pm
No refunds after July 21, 6pm

RISK STATEMENT

RRS 3 states: “The responsibility for a boat’s decision to participate in a race or to continue to race is hers alone.” By participating in this event each competitor agrees and acknowledges that sailing is a potentially dangerous activity with inherent risks. These risks include strong winds and rough seas, sudden changes in weather, failure of equipment, boat handling errors, poor seamanship by other boats, loss of balance on an unstable platform and fatigue resulting in increased risk of injury. Inherent in the sport of sailing is the risk of permanent, catastrophic injury or death by drowning, trauma, hypothermia or other causes.

INSURANCE

Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of CAD $1 million per incident or the equivalent.
