Naramata Mug Reminder

This is a reminder that SOSA’s annual Naramata Mug Regatta and Bruno Lieppe Cup are this upcoming weekend July 23rd-24th. If you are interested in competing, you can still register (or just buy meal tickets).

This year we have a potentially large number of sailors coming from out of town to attend the regatta. Just as in previous years, out-of-town participants have been invited to camp on the property. We will be limiting the tents to the section of grass in front of the Catamarans to allow for lots of room for members and the event. You should expect SOSA to be very busy this weekend, starting Friday evening.

Parking in the lot will be restricted to members of the SOSA executive who are working on the regatta. Please do not park in the SOSA lot.

SOSA is also hosting a number of meals for the regatta participants, so expect the kitchen to be unavailable this weekend.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MEMBERS WITH CATAMARANS. If you are intending to sail in the regatta or recreationally this weekend, you must move your boat to water side of the property by Friday July 22nd at 5pm. Boats should line up temporarily along the beach/lawn starting near the dock and lining up to the south. If boats are not moved by Friday night tents will block the way.
