Membership Registration and Payment

Please tell us what skills you have that could be useful to the club. For example: design, carpentry, construction, plumbing, electrical, painting, screen printing, insurance background, boat repair, etc.
Please also tell us what sort of volunteer work you would prefer (e.g. maintenance, grounds clean up, social events, racing support, etc.)
If you do not plan to volunteer this year, please say so.

Release of Liability Agreement

To: South Okanagan Sailing Association (referred to as the Club), its Directors, Members and Employees.

I understand that sailing can be a hazardous activity and agree to take full responsibility for the actions and safety of myself and my guests, regardless of age or relationship. I will hold the South Okanagan Sailing Association harmless in the event of any claims which may arise. including, but not limited to personal injury, death, damage to or loss of equipment in use, in storage or in the process of launch or recovery in any instance. I am aware that in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent in the sport of sailing, certain additional dangers and risks exist such as but not limited to, changes in weather conditions, danger and risk of collision with other vessels and boats or equipment failure. I freely accept and fully assume all such dangers and risks and the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or any other loss resulting therefrom.

In consideration of the club permitting my participation in the sport of sailing and the use of the club facilities, equipment and property, I hereby agree as follows:

1. To waive any and all claims that I may have against the club or its directors, members or employees or any other person in any way associated with the Club (all of whom are hereafter referred to as "the releasees")

2. To release the Club and the Releasees from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that I or my guest(s) may suffer or that my next of kin may suffer as a result of my participation in the sport of sailing or by the use of the Club's facilities and equipment due to any cause whatsoever.

3. To hold harmless and indemnify the Releasees and the Club from any and all liability for any property damage or personal injury to any third party resulting from my participation in sailing or use of Club's facilities, equipment and property, and;

4.That this Release of Liability shall be in effect and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns in the event of my death.

I have read and understand this Release of Liability prior to signing it and I am aware that by signing this Release of Liability, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue, which I or my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators or assigns may have against the Club and the Releasees.
